Her own line Mata Labs was created to tailor towards the darker skin. Mata launched her beauty brand in under two years and has already gained recognition from big names like Fendi, Adidas and many others.

Jay Z & DiddyLooks like there’s a new bro-mance between hip-hop mogul’s Diddy & Jay Z (bye bye Yeezy). They are starting a new business venture to help the black community gain more economic power by spotlighting black-owned business in a user’s area. It’s all about moving culture forward by putting money back into their local communities. Even though the app currently has no name, we are sure this app will become a household name.

Mom and 3 kids become published authorsEncouraging young people to get out and travel, Jennaye Fennell and her three children create books based on the motto “Living Life to the Fullest” by following your dreams. Inspired by one of their family trips, Jennaye’s middle child thirst for creating a book based on their travels inspired a domino effect amongst the family. Each family member became successful published authors and has written 7 books in total with majority of their books being based on a series that can be read 28 different ways with the choose-your-own adventure books.

This Keyan inventor was inspired to build this technology to communicate with his 6-year-old niece who was born death. Using Bluetooth technology, the gloves connect to a mobile application which then converts the sign into audio speech.

Kalief Browder WayIn honor of the late Kalief Browder, who committed suicide after spending years in solitary confinement on Rikers Island, is receiving an honor that will leave a legacy much like his tragic story. A street in the Bronx has unveiled a WAY to pay homage by naming a street after Browder. The city ended solitary confinement for people younger than 21-years-old and announced a plan to move 16-17 year old off the controversial Island. Through his tragic death, change was created.
