The film is set to star Rihanna alongside Lupita Nyong’o in a buddy movie based on a tweet about a photo taken in 2014 at a Miu Miu fashion show. “Rihanna looks like she scams rich white men and Lupita is the computer smart best friend that helps plan the scans” The tweet went as far as to capture the attention of Rihanna, Lupita, and is set to be directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Insecure writer, creator and actress Issa Rae, whose team confirmed to Vanity Fair that the project is in the works according to eonline.
